How did Casa Creativa begin?

The Full Story

Welcome to Casa Creativa's website!

Thank you for taking the time to visit our page and for wanting to find out more. My name is Amber, and I am a final year Fashion Communication student at the University of Brighton. For my final major project this year I have started up my own event project called Casa Creativa which originated from my love of events. I have been lucky enough to work for Fashion Scout which hosted events during LFW and GFW, and this inspired me to want to take event management further.

When researching into ideas for my project, I thought up the idea of creating an event that celebrated a diverse range of creative and design disciplines in one space, showcasing the importance of creativity and innovation on our everyday lives. Casa Creativa aims to select design students and graduates, bring their work together in a space that represents design integrity, but also promotes their talent to the public as well as industry professionals.

Student Talent... Filler Zine

We have a sneak preview of one of our amazing talents that will be showcasing at The Lifestyle Hub 2019. Filler Zine, designed by Holly Temple while she was a final year student at the University of Brighton was a project that was born out of a frustration at the way these changing attitudes towards healthy living can create insincere and misinformed advice around the way we should be feeding ourselves. Looking after ourselves and even shopping and dressing, and to ask YOU what your views really are on the lifestyle trends that take over our Instagram feeds, shop windows and the publications we read. In an age where mental health and wellbeing, altruism and mindfulness is of more importance than ever to Gen Z-ers, there is always something new to think and talk about (and always someone that disagrees with you as well).

Holly is now releasing issue 2 which focusses on health and wellbeing!

We cannot wait to interview her and for you to see her upcoming work.
